Please can I also extract and analyse masked fusarium mycotoxins in maize using this approach?

Since the masked mycotoxins are host plant metabolites to make mycotoxins more water soluble it is unlikely that they will extract well into EtOAc. I never tested it, though.

Please which internal standards did you use. Is C isotope-labeled mycotoxin standards ok?
Also after extraction, is it possible to store the supernatant and under which conditions, before sending them to Research Institute for LC/MS analyses.

All the information you are looking for is described in the Materials&Methods section of the paper. The ISTD compounds are 13C-labelled isotopologues of the mycotoxins you are testing for.
