Prof. Rob Gous is an Emeritus Professor at the University of KwaZulu-Natal in South Africa retired at the end of 2007 after 37 years of service. His main research interests are measuring nutritional responses and simulation modelling in poultry and pigs. He is a trustee of both the Protein Research Foundation and the Baynesfield Trust, and he is the head of the research portfolio committee of the South African Pork Producers Organisation. He is chairman of the South African Branch of the World’s Poultry Science Association and is also one of the five vice-presidents of the Association.
