Forages make up 45 to 95 percent of the feed that dairy animals receive on a farm. We usually think in terms of just the lactating cows. I would like to know are we to participate in the best interest of the silage, the health of the cow, the quantity and quality of the milk produced or the net profit savings for the farmer?
