The online course is taught through the Moodle platform of the University of Córdoba (UCO), which organizes it in collaboration with the International Society for NIR Spectroscopy (ICNIRS, http://www.icnirs.org/).
The course is taught in English and has a teaching load of 6 ECTS and includes theory classes, practical exercises, interactive self-learning tools, virtual visits to laboratories, etc.
Students who complete the course will have the following skills:
- Knowledge of the theoretical and practical aspects of NIRS technology.
- Ability to carry out quantitative and qualitative multivariate analyzes of different types of NIRS spectral data.
- Ability to identify training needs that enable the student to acquire the required qualification from a NIRS professional.
- Ability to identify those NIRS applications ready to be implemented at the laboratory or industry level, and those that need additional research and development to be implemented soon.
At the completion of the course, all students will receive a certificate of professional achievement issued by both the ICNIRS and UCO. Participants who also want to be recognized for ECTS credits must complete an online exam at the end of the course.
The registration period for the course will open on the 13 of May 2020. The maximum number of participants is 20 and will be selected considering the date of final communication of interest. The cost of the course is 600 euros + bank charges.
