Contact slides for on site diagnosis of bacterial infections during first few days of broiler rearing

Three different contact slides containing , nutrient agar with TTC), Macconkey agar and XLD agar could be used on site. An inoculating needle, wine spirit lamp and a pair of scissors are needed. Select a clinically affected chick and carefully open and inoculate sample from yolk sac on one end (lower end) of each slide. Take samples from liver and inoculate middle section of each slide.
