2013 Mycotoxin Management Summit Highlights New Strategies to Old Problems
2012 may easily have been deemed the ‘year of the mycotoxin' in North America. The widespread drought and extreme weather conditions created all of the right conditions for a storm of toxins in last year's harvest and left many industry experts questioning how to best mitigate the problem.
Alltech's first annual North America Mycotoxin Management Summit plans to address many of last year's issues and share the latest in mycotoxin research and development. "Making Sense of the Maze... New Strategies for Old Problems" will be held at the Hyatt Regency in Lexington, Ky., Apr. 4-5, 2013. The Summit aims to provide an open forum for discussion on mycotoxin research and analysis as well as an opportunity to present the newest applications in mycotoxin management.
"This Summit will examine the extent of the broad spectrum mycotoxin challenge facing North America livestock and poultry producers, and the actions needed to safeguard the quality of their feed, the health of their animals and, ultimately, their profits," said Nick Adams, global sales director for Alltech's Mycotoxin Management Team.
The program will also demonstrate how Alltech's 37+ Program works and allow industry members to speak one-on-one with experts in the field of mycotoxins. The event has been approved for eight ARPAS credits.
