In August 2013, the world’s poultry veterinarians and poultry health scientists will be holding their global conference in Nantes, France. The conference, known as WVPAC2013 is being hosted by the French Branch of the World Veterinary Poultry Association which globally has well over 2000 members and branches in some 40 countries. In Nantes, poultry health professionals will be updated on developments in poultry health and will network with colleagues and the commercial companies that supply avian health products as well as enjoying French culture, hospitality, cuisine and wines.

The French organisers have brought experts from around the world to participate in WVPAC2013 and the conferences programme will have plenty papers on important topical subjects such as viral diseases, avian influenza, food safety, gut health and mycotoxins and will be a mixture of the latest research, review papers and field experiences.

According to leading French poultry veterinarian and chair of the organising committee, Nicolas Eterradossi, ‘The French organisers have put a lot of effort into producing a great scientific programme and a varied supporting social programme and WVPAC2013 is an event that everyone associated with avian health will want to attend. We look forward to welcoming them all to Nantes in August 2013!’
The WVPA (World Veterinary Poultry Association) is a global partnership, with 50 years of existence, whose objective is to organise meetings about diseases and conditions relating to the avian species, to encourage research in this field, to promote the exchange of information and material for study between individuals and organisations interested in the poultry species, and to establish and maintain liaison with other bodies with related interests.
