Salmonella should be monitored in farms based on a program established either by the authorities or by the farms. Clinical salmonellosis is not frequent nowadays but we must be vigilant especially in Africa.

what is our chances in Africa since the possible root causes are not yet discovered aside poor immunity of the birds?

Salmonella problem still thriten the poultry industry and human health so it needs more attention from the specialist all-over the world. Regarding the source of infection where ever there are living creature there is salmonella. Treatment protocols should be adopted by using the organic acids ,copper sulphate and strict biosecurity measures.
