With 98% of the Area and Massive Confirmation of Poultry Producers and Technicians, SIAV Establishes Itself as Early Success

The International Poultry Congress (SIAV), organized by the Brazilian Poultry Association (UBABEF) between 27 and 29 August of this year,  is established as one of the most successful brazilian poultry event of 2013.
According to Jose Perboyre, UBABEF Administrative and Financial Director, 98% of the commercial area in the event has already been sold. “We have confirmed the presence of more than 30 poultry and egg agribusiness,  20 equipment companies, all poultry genetics companies, laboratories, feed producers, logistic enterprises, certifiers and other players in the poultry production, introducing new products and services for the market” he says.
Success is not restricted only to marketing, as UBABEF executive president, Francisco Turra, says. “We have a massive attendance confirmation of poultry managers. Plus, presidents of the agribusiness also confirms the presence of at least 2.000 poultry producers”, he claims. This producers will have full support of the event, with the provision of the buses and the Brazilian Bank for funding.
“Next to the poultry producers, there will be businessmen, directors, purchasing managers, field technicians and cold storage plant producers, and other members of the supply chain, along with national and international leaders”, UBABEF president adds. UBABEF Marketing Director, Ricardo Santin says “Foreign delegations of over 20 countries have confirmed their presence to the meeting, next to the international authorities of OIE, ONU and the European Union”.
“This delegations will join the visitors present at the event in the course of the Image Project and Buyer Project (both in association with APEX-Brazil), allowing the entrance of journalists and foreign buyers at the event”, Santin adds.
Extensive technical and conjunctural program
As part of the SIAV programme, the 23rd Brazilian Poultry Congress will feature more than 60 speakers and company directors, scientific-technical experts and national an international business leaders. As main topics of the lectures there will be daily issues that challenge technicians and enterpreneurs.
Among the highligths, the agenda will include the american Jurgen Klaric’s presentation, considered nowadays one of the marketing gurus; the lecture of Andrea Gavinelli, director of the Animal Welfare DGSanco/Bruxelas (Belgium); and a panel discussion with the presence of CEOs of the brazilian poultry agribusiness. According to UBABEF Production Director, Ariel Mendes, free events will complement SIAV’s schedule, besides the 23rd Brazilian Poultry Congress. “One is the Producer Project, an iniciative specially made for poultry producers, that talks about the challenges of managing broilers and information on the application of technology on the farm”, he says.
The Symposium on Production and market egg is also one of the highlights, with programming focused on the chain of posture, with topics related to market, adding value, supply of inputs and search for new markets. The 2nd International Seminar on Sustainability will address new horizons for sustainability, as well as discuss the sustainable production as an added value. The seminar will also bring a discussion panel with special participation of ABRA, talking about poultry waste.
Ten meetings of the UBABEF Sectoral Chambers are already confirmed during SIAV. “The partner organizations of the event- ANFEAS, ALANAC, ABIQUIFI, SINDAN and SINDIRAÇÕES- will also promote meetings with their associated during the event. There will also be a joint meeting of the Sectorial Chambers of Maize and Sorghum and the Poultry and Swine Ministry of Agriculture”, Mendes says.
