By: Huvepharma
Huvepharma Inc., a global animal health company, has recently acquired three of Intervet Inc.'s leading feed additive products: Flavomycin, Sacox and Gainpro. The products were acquired in July, and the transaction is complete as of Dec. 1. The acquisition includes each product's patent, trademark, commercial information, product registrations and marketing authorization. Huvepharma will maintain the same fermentation, formulation and product blending sources, and the products will continue to be manufactured under identical U.S. Food & Drug Administration guidelines and high quality standards, company officials said. Only the company name under which they are marketed will change. "Huvepharma is excited to be part of the U.S. feed additive industry," Glen Wilkinson, president of Huvepharma USA, said. "We are committed to producing only the highest quality products, now, and in the future. In an effort to ensure a smooth transition, we have already secured a supply of these products and are positioned to furnish the industry's needs."
