Lohmann Animal Health one of the world's largest poultry vaccine companies has appointed a new management team based at its headquarters in Cuxhaven, Germany.
Martin Reisige becomes managing director, Eduardo Bernardi takes charge of the marketing department and Dr. Michael Iburg heads up the technical support department.
Reisige has been with the company for five years, having spent the previous 18 months with Lohmann Animal Health's sister company, LAHI in Maine in the U.S.
While in America, he was responsible for successfully reorganizing production planning procedures within the two former competitor companies of Maine Biological Laboratories, Maine, and Vineland Laboratories, New Jersey, creating a strong new team and improving supply of products to customers worldwide.
Bernardi's career involving 12 years in breeding, broiler, layer and feed sectors in the Americas, Asia and Europe - has given him wide experience within the world's poultry industries. A veterinarian, he moved from Canada two years ago to join the company as product manager.
After qualifying as a vet at Justus Liebig University in Giessen near Frankfurt, Iburg specialized in research work involving immunology and egg antibodies and also had field experience with a poultry-breeding company. He became Lohmann Animal Health's chief veterinary surgeon in 2002.
