Registration for the 26th Congress of the International Pig Veterinary Society (IPVS), the world´s most important scientific event on pig health and production is now open.
IPVS´s first hybrid event will take place on June 21st – 24th, 2022 at Riocentro Convention Center. The event´s main theme is “New Perspectives for the Swine Industry: biosecurity, production and innovation”. Participants will discuss the current challenges and key global issues in the pig production industry.
The Scientific Committee has been focusing on a variety of novel topics of global importance in the areas of reproduction, bacterial and viral diseases, animal welfare, immunology and vaccinology, nutrition, herd management, food safety and the use of antimicrobial agents. Furthermore, to promote a consistent program that meets the most diverse interests of the sector, the event will offer pre-congress sessions on six different areas, including one on agribusiness scheduled on June 21st.
The pre-congress session on agribusiness is the first of its kind in the history of IPVS, clearly making room for several industry sectors to gain more visibility.
According to the President of IPVS2022 and veterinarian Fernanda Almeida, “The IPVS’ panels have become more technical and comprehensive throughout the last 50 years, with attendees adding more value to their pig farming practices, business, and companies worldwide”.
