Known as one of the main showcases for the exhibition and dissemination of research focused on the swine area, IPVS2022 recognized in its 26th edition, which took place between June 21 and 24, 2022, at RioCentro, Rio de Janeiro, the abstracts that stood out for their originality and solutions for this production chain.
The congress, which brought together 2,170 professionals committed to the evolution of global swine production, returned to Brazil after 34 years and was surprising for the relevance of the themes presented. "When analyzing the abstracts submitted to our committee, we noticed the significant scientific advancement of researchers, who even in the midst of the pandemic did not cease their research and delivered valuable material, which will certainly solve bottlenecks in the production chain of pigs," says the veterinarian and Director of the Scientific Committee IPVS2022 Roberto Guedes.
For IPVS2022 president Fernanda Almeida, all this engagement will take swine farming to other levels. "Noticing the commitment of so many professionals on behalf of the activity only reinforces the certainty that we will achieve excellence in production and that we are on the right track," she says.
She points out that these abstracts will be the business card of the national swine industry. "We will be represented by great professionals and by important work in the 2024 edition of the IPVS, which will be held in Germany. This privileges us and delivers the legacy of IPVS2022, which for sure will be marked in the history of the event," she says.
