The 6th annual conference has international caliber speakers in the areas of emerging diseases, reproductive performance, management of large groups and recommendations for changes in the nutrition of the animal as it affects cost of production and the environment. Speakers from France, and western Canada will address the key aspects of identifying and dealing with this disease that has seriously injured herd productivity on farms in Quebec and parts of Ontario during the past year. Speakers will address; What is our risk in western Canada and how can we use the best knowledge of the disease to protect the health status of our herds? Tuesday, March 28th the conference runs from 8:30-5:30 and includes workshops on maximizing reproductive capacity of the modern genotype sow, or choose the grow-finish workshop and learn how pork producers are modifying their management systems to take advantage of large group housing and auto sort technology to maximize market returns and improve the job of barn/animal management for the stock person.
