JSR continues its growth through investment in people with the arrival of Dr Carlos Peralta based in Mexico.
Commenting on his appointments Tim Rymer, JSR Chairman said “We are delighted that Dr Peralta has decided to join our Worldwide Development Team. His arrival complements our recent expansion in China and reflects our commitment to meeting the demands of a competitive global market.”
Dr Carlos Peralta, recently with PIC as Managing Director of Latin America, sees an opportunity to build upon JSR’s established name and commitment to grow their business in the Americas. “The global processors operating in these markets are always looking for improvements to carcase quality through genetic developments. JSR grandparent lines are well suited to these markets and people are looking for a fresh approach and new genetics. There are 8 million sows in North America and 4 million in South America, the market is huge but we will take our development step by step”
