Int’l - JSR's outstanding reputation seals the deal in Poland

JSR Genetics' excellent reputation has been instrumental in the signing of another new contract in Poland. The latest in a string of orders in Eastern Europe, the contract was signed in June by Jan Kaus, who views the multiplication contract and delivery agreement as key to the future of Gospodarstwo Rolno-Hodowlane, his farm in Central Poland. Before committing himself to any particular genetics for his newly expanded unit, Jan had been determined to do his homework. For many years a member of the Polish Breeding Organisation, Jan knew well that, in developing a successful commercial pig herd including a 'within herd' multiplication unit, the choice of quality genetics with excellent profit potential would be crucial. Jan commented, 'In checking back it became clear that, when other farms in Poland have bought genetics from a variety of companies, they are soon looking for something else. Those who bought from JSR are, in contrast, soon asking for more'. Jan's thorough research led to an order for 588 JSR great grandparent and grandparent gilts - due to arrive in April 2007 - to create a nucleus herd of Genepacker 105 gilts. His main aim is to be able to offer Polish producers the benefit of locally bred gilts from a high health status herd. He is also hoping to supply stock to Russia and other Central Eastern European countries. Jan's investment in new buildings and new genetics, has been made possible by the Polish government's offer of preferential credit for young farmers as part of its drive to expand and develop the Polish pig industry . As a rapidly developing market, it is also one in which JSR have completed several successful projects. Paul Anderson, JSR's European Sales Director confirms. "We have already established a strong reputation in this area and JSR genetics have a proven track record of achieving excellent results. This latest contract just proves how our commitment to providing first class genetic material, together with practical support, pays dividends not only for our customers, but for us too."
