ACMC's new German franchisees - Hans Gerd Behrens and Jens Uwe Stiefel, as well as senior management - will be on the company's stand (No C06/F, Hall 26) for the first time at EuroTier, which takes place on 14-17th November in Hanover.
The British pig genetics business, which has been expanding rapidly in Europe - opening up new markets in Spain, Italy, Poland, Russia and Romania - anticipates strong interest in its products at this event.
As well as giving an extra pig a litter on commercial farms, the ACI hybrid gilt has built up a reputation for its ability to produce progeny that provides high quality carcases at heavy slaughter weights.
Hans and Jens will be on hand to explain to customers, in German, how this has been achieved.
"ACMC is unique in the way, over a 20-year period, it has incorporated Chinese genes in its female line selection programme for prolificacy, while maintaining fast growth rates in the feeding herd combined with superior carcases, as shown by abattoir returns identifying carcases with a high percentage of lean meat," commented Matthew Curtis, ACMC's managing director.
