Why use milk replacements in piglets?

good point why do people use milk replace in piglets. I guess it helps to getthem along to the next level in the production line. They certainly grow when milk is added tothe feed.

I think it is uneconomical to apply replacement milk to piglets, the enhancing effect is very expensive, is more economical to concentrate the diet of the lactating sow and feed consumption to stimulate greater milk production

milk can be added to creep feed to help piglets over the transition from mothers milk to solid food, but they should be on mum till they are 21 days old and have the benefit og the good milk
