23rd IPVS Congress Mexico 2014. Call for Abstracts

Deadline extended for abstract submission

The Scientific Committee of the IPVS 2014 invites all interested to submit abstracts for Oral, Corner & Poster sessions where we can share the most up-to-date research results and review challenging and interesting swine cases from around the world.

Important Date

• Abstract submission deadline is February 14th, 2014.

Abstracts must be submitted on-line through the IPVS 2014 official web page.

Before submitting your abstract, confirm that your abstract fulfills all the recommendations listed in the checklist below:

Checklist

- Create the abstract as a Word document (Microsoft Word version2003 or later).
- Abstracts must fit on one page A4 size paper; the abstract cannot exceed one page.
- Underline the presenter (this individual must be registered for the meeting).
- Organize the abstract as: Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, Conclusions and Discussion, Acknowledgements, References.
- Format the abstract in two columns with 0.8 cm (0.31) inches between columns.
- Set margins as: top 4 cm (1.57 inches), bottom 3 cm (1.18 inches), left 2.5 cm (0.98 inches), and right 2.5 cm (0.98 inches).
- Use Times New Roman, 10 pt font, single spaced lines.
- Tables, figures, and photos must fit within one column.
- Use the template as an example to creat your abstract.

Submitting Process

1. Log in to the IPVS 2014 system when your abstract is completed and ready to send. To log in, enter your email address and the password you choose when you registered at the system.

2. When you click the “Log In” button you will be taken to a screen from which the submission process starts. Please read the instructions carefully. Select the button “New Abstract” to upload your paper and fill in the information requested. Repeat this process with each abstract you want to submit.

3.Submitting an abstract is a multi-step process. Each step asks several questions:

•Step 1: The author's institution or company.

•Step 2: Select the TOPIC.

•Step 3: Introduce three keywords.

•Step 4: Select your presentation preference; Oral, Corner or poster.

•Step 5: Save your abstract document in Word format.

Note: We strongly recommend checking your abstract with the template provided before sending it, any abstract of more than one singly page or that does not follow the guideline will not be accepted or reviewed. After this step, the abstract cannot be edited or modified.
Step 6: Locate the corresponding file in your computer hard disk. Upload your abstract in WORD format and click “Send Abstract” button.
