When Cyprus joined the EU on May 1st, 2004, the people of the “Island of Aphrodite” faced many challenges. The animal husbandry industry were not surprised by the changes, still it had a big impact on their production.
Vettaky and Biomin decided to organize a Biomin Forum in order to update pig producers on our products as well as on new ways in swine production. Franz Waxenecker, Biomin R&D director spook about swine nutrition, Gwendoly Jones gave a talk on “the facts and the fascination of Phytobiotics” and Kurt Wegleitner presented the relevance of mycotoxins in pig production.
Takis Kyriacou was proud to greet more than 30 pig producers, journalists as well as representatives of the authorities to the Forum. We are convinced, that the most ambitious swine producers will overcome the current challenges and soon will have better times.
