al. (1990, 1993); Ledoux et al. (1999) reported significant increase in relative weights of heart due to AFB1 feeding at concentration ranging from 3.5 to 5.0 ppm. The non-significant increase in the relative weights of heart could be due to low level of AFB1 in the present study. Ochratoxin contamination in feed at 250 ppb level resulted significant (P<0.05) increase in the relative weights of heart. Moreover, Sreemannarayana et al. (1989) reported no effect on the relative weights of heart when fed OTA concentration ranging from 1 to 10 mg/kg. In contrast, Kubena et al. (1989) reported increased relative weights of heart fed OTA ranging from 2 to 4 mg/kg in the diet of broilers.
