Dr. Lilian U. Thompson obtained her Ph.D from University of Wisconsin in Madison. She is currently Professor Emeritus in the Department of Nutritional Sciences, Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto, Canada who still continues her research program. Her research focuses on components of plant foods responsible for their health benefits and/or adverse effects, their interaction with drugs, and mechanisms of their action.
