Dr. Steven McOrist was appointed the new President of the British Pig Veterinary Society (PVS) at its spring conference in Solihull.Dr McOrist started his pig industry career in 1977 in Australia and has worked on pig farms and in many advisory and academic roles in the UK and abroad. He now teaches on pig health and management in the UK and advises on meat inspection to the European Commission.
