@M.C. Fernando R. Feuchter A. I think the lifting of feeders is to stop birds from eating feed in the heat sensitive time zone. This may vary from places to places. Metabolic heat will be produced about two hours after feed consumption. So by mid noon, total of metabolic + environmental heat will be a cause of heat stroke.

@Nelson Ruíz Hi, what I meant by “good results” is reduction in mortality of heavy birds. If I don’t restrict the feed, I lose more numbers of birds having very good body weight of 2 kg plus. Naturally, my FCR and overall cost of production will reduce when I save these high body weight birds from dying.

@Nelson Ruíz I always got very good results of feed restriction in broilers. The time and length of feed restriction depend on geoclimatic conditions.

@dan hofer How do you achieve climatization of birds?

Hi!
Certain contaminants like heavy metals in phytogenic compounds definitely pose a risk to be used in chickens.
I've used turmeric (in different forms) through feed & drinking water in chickens to effectively control certain bacterial infections.

Use of paracetamol @10 mg/kg body weight through drinking water two hours prior to expected peak temperature is useful in maintaining body temperature of broilers.
In layers, paracetamol can be used through feed.
