His research at the Lab is aimed at characterisation and transmission of multidrug resistance (MDR) in Enterobacteriaceae. They study the contribution of integrons and plasmids to the occurrence and spread of MDR in Salmonella and E. coli from different sources. They have a special interest in ESBLs and plasmid mediated quinolone resistance.
