Dr. Gabler is an assistant professor of swine nutrition and physiology in the Department of Animal Science at Iowa State University. He has a very active and diverse research program that focuses on understanding and improving swine feed efficiency at the basic and applied, cellular and whole animal levels. He has worked extensively with Dr. Jack Dekkers and colleagues on defining the physiological differences associated with divergent residual feed intake selection in swine.
