The Effect of Hammermill Screen Hole Diameter and Hammer Tip Speed on Particle Size and Flowability of Ground Corn

Published: June 16, 2020
Summary
Introduction As particle size research has continued to evolve, so has the nutritionist’s understanding of what is needed to optimize animal performance. Congratulations for this article. It is a very current topic and it show us how important is to decrease the tip speed of the hammer for coarse grinding.

Coarseness of feed is very pertinent issue which is correlated with
Rpm of hammer mill motor
Weight and shape of hammers
Number of hammers
Tip of hammers
Size of screen holes
Effective magnetic control at intake point
Synchronised intake of Raw materials
These have been my observation
