Please, in as much as we have wonderful extruders in use these days. I would like a system where we can comfortably control the temperature of the at the cooking pot. Some extruders have such high temperatures that certain cabohydrate binders and some protein get over expanded over cooked respectively. The effects of these are that resulting feed become less nutritional to the fish.
I intend to post an article on this soon from my last experience in preparying some aqua feed using certain kind of extruder.
The article should have opened our eyes to the danger of extruded feed in terms of the quality of the finished feed to that of the sinking feed that has not undergo high heat operation in respect to their performance on fish, but you digress into different types of extruders.
