Diamond V® announces new members of the company’s North America dairy team.
Sam Mosley, Ph.D., has joined Diamond V as a Dairy Field Technical Specialist. Dr. Mosley had worked with the Davis Family Dairies in Nicollet, MN where he was the Operations Manager of multiple dairy sites and a young stock facility. Prior to moving to Minnesota, Dr. Mosley was the Transition Cow Manager for Double A Dairy in Jerome, ID.
“As the manager of large dairy operations,” notes Diamond V Dairy Technical Service Specialist Dave Ohman, D.V.M., “Sam has developed a broad skill set that will be very valuable to Diamond V customers. His primary interests focus on transition cow management and facilities, feed management and feeder training, employee development, and young stock.”
Sam also has extensive experience in developing dairy operations protocols and implementing them in both English and Spanish.
“Sam strives to help develop successful dairies by maximizing animal health and productivity,” Dave says. “He will play a key role in helping us with our technical on-farm value-added support and sales.”
Sam received his doctorate in Animal Physiology in 2006 from the University of Idaho where he investigated the impact of dietary fatty acids on milk fat synthesis. He and his family reside in Minnesota.
Also, Matt Bryan now is a Regional Sales Manager with the North America dairy team, serving dairy producers in the Magic Valley and Eastern Idaho region.
Matt comes to Diamond V from Elanco Animal Health where he was a senior sales representative in Idaho. Before moving to Idaho, he held the same position with Elanco in North Fond du Lac, WI.
Diamond V District Sales Manager Chad Davis notes Matt’s wide-ranging, science-based experience: Matt received his Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science from Purdue University and began his career at Eli Lilly and Company (parent company of Elanco) as a biologist researching ways to combat the effects of Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s diseases.
Moving to Elanco, Matt focused on dairy health and production, co-authoring the most recent Elanco Dairy Heat Abatement Guide and serving as a mentor and trainer for new dairy team members.
“Matt has many accomplishments already and developed skills that we are proud to add to our team,” Chad says. “With his diverse and unique experience, we look forward to having him represent us in the field.”
