Use of Rapid Test in Detection of Antibiotic Susceptibility of Common Mastitis causing Bacteria
Published:October 20, 2011
Summary
Summary In this paper comparison of efficiency of commercially available antibiotic susceptibility test MASTiK ® with traditionally used Kirby-Bauer disk diffusion method in cow mastitis cases was described. Six samples of examined milk were chosen on a randomly basis. In the samples presence of following microorganisms was determined: Staphylococcus aureus , Escherichia coli , coagulas...
it is a good technique for screening the mastitis causing bacteria in this way selection of antibiotics become very easy.

It is a good test for field vets but at the same time collecting samples in sterile conditon is also diffcult. Sometimes it happens that invitro sensitive antibiotics do not have results when used for the clinical case.
Dr.Balkrishna Sharma Sub: Mastik This is a very good help to the field veterinarians.Faster method for identification of causative microorganism and finally the treatment. Even after doing all this could we bring the cow to the level of production prior to the infection. However Matik is a very helpful tool for the practicing vets,as they can prevent the further loss of milk production
GOOD ARTICLE ABOUT THE DETECTION OF ANTIBIOTIC SUSCEPTIBILITY OF COMMON MASTITIS CAUSING BACTERIA, IT IS VERY USE FULL FOR VETERINARY PROFESSIONAL AS IT IS DIFFICULT TO KNOW THE CAUSATIVE ORGANISM AT FIELD LEVEL ,
