This herd’s incredible influence has certainly been immeasurable, as many great bulls including Lord Ontario, Milk Machine, Milkman, Patrick and of course BB Kellogg carry the Blackaddar prefix. When the final gavel was struck down, Terrace Bank Farms of Howick, Quebec had bought a total of 16 head, including three of the top five sellers. One of their purchases, Blackaddar Olympic Model EX-92, topped the sale at $17,500. Well-known in the showring, Model was second 5 Yr. Old at last year’s Royal Agriculture Winter Fair. Second high seller at $12,000 was the 2004 & 2005 All-Canadian, Blackaddar Gretchen. Gretchen was also the 2004 Royal Agricultural Winter Fair Intermediate Champion and Reserve Grand Champion. Semex’s 0200AY00102 Shady Walnut Conn had many standout calves sell including a $6,100 June 2005 daughter from the famous Kildare BBK Kellyann EX-3E-90, a Canadian Production Champion posting two 15,000–16,000 kg records in three lactations, was purchased by Marbrae Farms of Howick, Quebec with a conditional Semex contract.
