The Semex Alliance is proud to announce the launch of its newest product, SEMEXX sexed semen, with a selection of elite Holstein, Jersey and Ayrshire bulls.

Available soon through your Semex representative, SEMEXX sexed semen lets you to take greater control of your heifer calves while reining in your herd’s genetic future. From the same great bulls that make up the Semex lineup, SEMEXX sexed semen is an unbeatable offer.

Just like our conventional semen, SEMEXX sexed semen bulls must meet minimum type, production and fertility requirements, as well as being from the same deep cow families that have become synonymous with Semex breeding.

“The days of hoping for a heifer calf and the disappointment of the bull calf are over,” says Pierre Laliberte, Semex Alliance Vice President Genetics. “By using SEMEXX sexed semen, the rate of genetic progress is increased two-fold. First, you get the heifer calf you want, and second, she’s got great genes built in!”

With results of over 90% heifers, dairy producers can confidently use SEMEXX sexed semen in their herd as a management tool, ensuring results that net genetic gain.

In developing the SEMEXX sexed semen product, Semex and L’Alliance Boviteq, Semex’s research and development arm, used every resource available to ensure that SEMEXX sexed semen is not only reliable, but also utilizes highly proven genetics from Semex’s Balanced Breeding philosophy. The tests demonstrated that SEMEXX sexed semen is extremely fertile and pure, producing results above and beyond the expected norm.

SEMEXX sexed semen is available in Canada and through Semex’s subsidiaries in the USA, United Kingdom, Germany, Brazil, Hungary, Australia, Argentina and South Africa in June 2007 with worldwide distribution expected in the fourth quarter of 2007.
