Rotational grazing (Voisin grazing)

Question

We are having the first year of Voising grazing each 30 days, 10 paddocks per batch of approximately 2 hectares with electric fences and rotation each three days. The grass is angleton. The load is approximately 80 cows and 120 calves of 200-300kg In the rainy season (from may to mid November) we were running short of food supplies the first months due to an unexpected drought. Then it started raining regularly and cows are not eating the grass which is becoming a kind of mattress of vegetative material. Now it has stopped raining till next may. What will cows eat? We have to reduce the load and make some bales, besides we buy concentrated feed. We know we are doing something wrong but we don&acute;t understand what it is. Do we have to raise the load in order to make them eat the whole grass? And another question, with Voisin, do we have to expect less growth per animal, but more kilos per hectares and per year?

Respecto a  la inquietud expuesta por Usted 

 Una de las causas  más  comunes del vomito en cerdas,  principalmente en el primer tercio de la gestación,  es  la aparición de úlceras gástricas, debido principalmente a:

1.  Estrés porcino,  a causa del sobre manejo  de los  animales ,  altas temperaturas ,  deficiente flujo de agua  en los chúpos  surtidores  ó   hembras destetas y nuevamente cubiertas estando en estados de calificación  de masa muscular baja, o  defectos en las instalaciones.

2.  Ahora bien, Usted  también se refiere a dos  machos reproductores con la misma sintomatologìa. lo cual me lleva a Pensar en la calidad del alimento que este suministrando, ó las condiciones de almacenamiento . recomendarìa hacer pruebas  bromatológicas en cualquier laboratorio confiable. y de los resultados obtener una luz a seguir.

3. Hay que tener en cuenta el manejo de los ciclos de  vermifugación  dentro de  su granja. y el tipo de productos utilizados, ya que pudo haber creado resistencia farmacológica.

. Es de anotar y observar que el grupo de animales afectados se encuentra, dentro del mismo galpòn. lo cual concentra el problema dentro del mismo, la misma bodega de almacenamiento, ò los mismos tanques surtidores de agua.

5. Si Ustedes hacen tratamiento de aguas, Observe por favor si es exacta,  la dosificaciòn del tratamiento.
