Foot Prints In The Dike

Published: April 20, 2014
By: Vick Medel
One night a businessman had a dream. He dreamed he had a prawn farm complex. In his farm in the pond dike flashed scenes, for his success. For each scene, he noticed TWO sets of footprints in the dike. One belonging to him the other to a magistrate. When the last scene of his success flashed before him, it turned out to be a failure. He noticed that many times along throughout his culture periods, he had adopted a foreign technology and in a trial and error application instead of a scientific methodological approach. He also noticed that he was concentrating too much on the mechanical aspects instead of the biological requirements of the penaeids. This really bothered him and he questioned his conscience about the failure. “Conscience, you said that once I decided to get-in to this high risk multi-million prawn farming business, prawn fry will just grow by itself with natural food, little supplement and back-up machination. You have also said that there are dogmatic prawn consultants that could lend us there services. But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my culture cycles, no consultants that I can turn to. I do not understand why when I needed a professional help the most, they are nowhere to be found.” The Conscience replied. “My ‘consencia’ my precious conscience, I love you and would never lied to you nor will put you in troubles. During your initial stage of business, in your desire to save on costs, you decided to do away with consultancy services and undertake project planning, development and management just by yourself not realizing that the cost of professional help, which is small in relation to the total project cost, could actually spell the difference between the success or failure of your project. When you see two sets of footprints in your dike, it was then that a technical advisor from univalm research for scientific & technological advances, had offered you their services and of possible scientific methodology prawn culture technology transfer.” Anthonio 7:7:52 What are you waiting for, contact: univalm research for scientific & technological advances. univalm@myway.com Visit: https://www.facebook.com/univalm Telefax 63-32-422-2986; 0927-751-2773; 0928-389-9115; 0922-687-9576
