Employee fundraising activities in 2019 broke records and surpassed expectations
SAINT CHARLES, MO (January 7, 2020) – Novus International, Inc., recently announced that its donations to the United Way for the last decade have surpassed $2 million USD following the completion of the 2019 campaign.
“This is certainly something that all Novus employees should be proud of,” said Jeff Klopfenstein, Novus executive vice president and 2019 campaign co-chair. “This is a fantastic way to end the decade. We look forward to seeing what our outstanding employees are capable of during the next 10 years.”
In 1991, the year the company was founded in Missouri, employees throughout North America decided to raise funds for the United Way. Since then, during each October, the offices in Missouri, Arkansas and Texas host fundraising activities ranging from raffles and trivia events to an annual golf tournament attended by employees and business partners.
Between employee donations and business partner sponsorships many milestones were reached during the 2019 campaign, which officially ended on December 31. Those include 34 new employee donors, 90 employees who chose to increase their donations, trivia proceeds increased by 12%, and golf tournament sponsorship proceeds increased 13%.
Of the three Novus sites that participate in fundraising activities the contributions from Novus employees in Little Rock, Arkansas surpassed expectations in 2019: participation increased 73% and donations increased by 60%. In all, Little Rock employees raised $7,372 USD, which was matched by Novus for a total of $14,744 USD.
That money is donated directly to the Heart of Arkansas United Way that serves the Little Rock community. Novus employees in Houston, Texas raised $3,768, for total of $7,536 USD for the Houston area United Way.
Including the corporate match, funds raised at Novus Headquarters in Missouri totaled $225,361.84 USD in 2019. That money will support United Way of Greater St. Louis initiatives. “We are so grateful for the Novus leadership team and their employees for the continued support of our community and many others through United Way,” said Michelle Tucker, president and CEO of United Way of Greater St. Louis. “Each year they exemplify generosity and dedication by raising dollars to help people live their best possible lives.”
Each year employees at Novus International, a global leader in health and nutrition solutions for the animal agriculture industry, initiate contributions to a variety of community organizations as part of the company’s community engagement program. Employees in Little Rock have contributed to Arkansas Foodbank, and in Missouri, Novus has supported Pedal the Cause, Meds and Food for Kids, St. Louis
Area Foodbank, St. Louis Mosaic, the American Red Cross Greater St. Louis Chapter, Operation Food Search, the World Affairs Council of St. Louis, Saint Louis University’s Boeing Institute of International

Business and others. For more information about Novus, visit www.NovusInt.com. To learn more about the United Way in your community, visit www.UnitedWay.org.
