Robert Moore will speak on Necrotic Enteritis at the XXth WVPA Congress on September 7th

Robert Moore will be one of the speakers at the XXth World Veterinary Poultry Association Congress 2017.

The event will be held at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre (EICC), Edinburgh, Scotland, and will take place between 4–8 September 2017.

Moore is a Research Professor of Biotechnology and Head of Host-Microbe Interactions Laboratory at RMIT University in Australia. He is also an Adjunct Professor in the Microbiology Department of Monash University.

His lecture will be "Necrotic enteritis in broilers: an understanding of pathogenesis leads to successful experimental vaccine development", on Thursday, Sept. 7th, at 9:00 am.

Moore will also appear at the 5th IHSIG Symposium on Poultry Intestinal Health, in Bangkok, Thailand, October 11-12. His presentation will be "Performance-associated microbial signatures in the gut and how to use these in practice".

In my experience, the cause of Necrotic enteritis is due to usage of Animal protein (fishmeal, Meat cum bone meal) which leads to mortality and poor performance in both commercial layers and commercial broilers.
