Phytobiotics hosts annual IQ Inside Seminar in Kufstein, Austria

Eltville, Germany, 2017-10-09 – Phytobiotics, the leading producer and vendor of the well-known feed additives (such as Sangrovit ®, Plexomin ® and Bigarol), hosted their annual international IQ Inside Seminar from 22 to 26 September in Kufstein, Austria. More than 120 guests from over 33 countries and 4 different continents were invited to learn and talk about novel ways of efficient animal production. The primary focus of the seminar was on innovative approaches to promote intestinal health.

Among the seminar speakers were MSc. Karen Heuvelmans (Rabobank, the Netherlands) presented “Animal nutrition – a market in motion” the four big trends in the global feed market. Prof. Dr. Bernd Kaspers (LMU München, Germany) discussed the „Cost of the immune system“ during his presentation. Prof. Dr. Theo Niewold (KU Leuven, Belgium) gave insights into “The intestinal innate immune response”. Prof. Dr. Hans Stein (University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, U.S.A.) gave a presentation on the topic “Digestibility of nutrients”. Dr. Anja Pastor (Product Management Poultry, Phytobiotics, Germany) described in her presentation “Sangrovit® in broilers – go with your gut” the meaning of gut health and how isoquinoline alkaloids can contribute to it. Dr. Santiago Bas (Global Ruminant Technical Manager, Phytobiotics, Germany) gave an “Update of Sangrovit® in ruminants”. Dr. Manfred Andratsch (Head of Alkaloid Competence Center, Phytobiotics, Germany) gave insights in “Phytobiotics – what the next years hold in store”. The successful seminar was anchored by Prof. Dr. Sergio Vieira (Federal University Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil), a well-known Brazilian researcher in poultry and swine.

Apart from the seminar the guests had the chance to visit Phytobiotics’ production site in Neuendettelsau, Bavaria, which is of highest technical standard and has a maximum capacity of 8000t feed additives per year.
