FEFANA invites members and visitors to explore its new website. The new website, which has been completely revamped to improve experience and navigation, hosts two up-dated classification tools available to guide feed business operators and authorities.

The new FEFANA website has been re-designed to be more user-friendly allowing visitors to browse easily for information they are looking for. It highlights the main topics of the Specialty Feed Ingredients Industry represented by FEFANA, including in particular the user-friendly guide to specialty feed ingredients and the FEFANA tools.

The FEFANA Substances Classification Tool was launched in 2007 and has been constantly up-dated since. It aims at promoting a consistent approach with regard to the identification of a single feed ingredient as either feed additive or feed material.

FEFANA President Gerritjan van der Ven points out that “FEFANA is proud to release with its new website also an on-line Mixture Classification Tool. This tool supports the user in the classification of mixtures. Based on the characteristics of the feed mixture, it distinguishes between feed additive preparation, premixture or compound feed. The FEFANA classification tools assist feed business operators to ensure legal compliance and shall also support a harmonised approach of control authorities.

The FEFANA Secretariat warmly encourages members and visitors to navigate through the new website and, especially, to make use of the two up-dated tools. Feedback can be submitted by e-mail to: cbellone@fefana.org.
