Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will inaugurate Dairy Science Park 2013

A formal approval was given to hold Dairy Science Park during the month of November, 2013 in a meeting held under the chairmanship of Prof Dr Muhammad Afzal, the Vice chancellor of the University of Agriculture, Peshawar. The meeting was attended by members of the ON Campus Organizing Committee of the Conference, including senior management, the Chairmen and the members of the Working Committee.

Dean Prof. Dr. Muhammad Subhan Qureshi briefed the house about the importance of livestock in the KPK province and the achievements of the Dairy Science Park, 2011in sensitizing the stakeholders to explore the commercial aspects of the livestock sector, especially the graduate employment generation and establishing export bases. 



The participants were informed that around 400-500 participants nationally and internationally will attend the Dairy Science Park from 18-20 November, 2013 to present scientific research papers and current and future challenges faced by the livestock sector of the province. Various universities of the country have contributed about 200 papers for the conference. The Vice chancellor granted a formal approval and ensured a full support and cooperation of various offices of the University, for this event. Vice chancellor also appreciated Dean and other faculty for their enthusiasm and hard work to organize Dairy Science Park aimed to resolve the problems of livestock sector and to enhance its production potential as business enterprise.

Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervaiz Khattak is expected to be the chief guest on the inauguration day and various line agencies like the provincial livestock department, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, SMEDA and private sector organizations will participate in the Conference.
