ADDCON and its local distributor NOVINDO recently launched AQUAFORM, the sustainable growth promoter for the aquaculture industry, during a well visited seminar in Jakarta, Indonesia.
The one-day seminar took place at the Santika BSD hotel at BSD City, Jakarta. Almost 40 participants from leading feed mills as well as farmers participated and learned about the sustainable options available to the industry. The event opened with a presentation on non-antibiotic growth promoters in aquaculture, held by Dr. Abadi Soetisna, who also guided eloquently through the seminar. This was followed by presentations held by Dr. Christian Lückstädt, Technical Director of ADDCON’s Feed business on “The use of organic acids in tropical aquaculture – an overview”. The presentation gave an in-depth view into state of the art R&D activities in dietary organic acids in modern aquaculture. The second presentation concentrated on the use of potassium diformate (AQUAFORM), ADDCON’s patented double salt – and its use in tropical fish and shrimp production – and included already Indonesian data.
Following the global expansion strategy, ADDCON keeps on growing in Asia, also in the field of aquaculture. AQUAFORM is already widely used in the fish and shrimp aquaculture world-wide, mainly in South East- and South Asia as well as Latin America. Continuing with the “Green Chemistry” concept, ADDCON’s feed additives will show a strong impact on weight gain, survival rates – and in times of increasing raw material costs especially important, particularly of fishmeal – a significant impact on feed efficiency!
“We believe in the success of the product in Indonesia. AQUAFORM will help the industry in the post-antibiotic era. Global and local demand for sustainable farmed fish and shrimp is a fact. We can help the aquaculture industry now to fulfill this demand”, says Dr. Lückstädt.
