Poults raised on used litter from 0 to 6 weeks
- No Delay: placed in pens on day 0
- Delay: no feed or water for 48 hrs
- Delay + Biolex™ at 2 lbs/ton
Turkeys raised in two pens from 7-17 weeks
- Equally distributed between treatments
- All fed a similar diet (no additives)
Biolex™
- Increased early feed intake
- Improved CV of body weight at 21 days
- Increased market body weight by 0.6 lbs
Delayed placement
- Reduced feed intake
- Reduced body weights
- Increased CV of body weight
