Co-Founder of the Informal Nutrition Symposium

During the recent PSA Annual Meeting in Corpus Christi, Texas, Dr. Paul B. Tillman took a few minutes to recognize the contribution of one of our retired PSA members, Mr. René Lastreto of Fresno, California, for his role in co-founding the Informal Nutrition Symposium. This informal gathering of industry and academia began in the mid-1970's, with the principal objective of putting the newest and best science directly to work in commercial poultry production. This "informal" gathering of colleagues continues to this day under the current leadership of Dr. Mamduh Sifri.

We encourage all to take a moment to listen Dr. Tillman's tribute to a man who was one of the pioneer nutritionists in our poultry industry, spanning a career of 55 plus years of service to a grateful industry.
