The Poultry Science Association Foundation (PSA Foundation) is pleased and honored to announce the establishment of an endowed scholarship to support qualified poultry science undergraduate students in the Department of Poultry Science in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Texas A&M University. The scholarship is intended to support a rising junior who has chosen Poultry Science as their field of study and has an expressed interest in graduate education for the M.S. and Ph.D. This Tribute Endowed Scholarship is in memory of Dr. Gardner for his vision as he mentored 8 graduate students who have become leaders in the food industry and the academic community. Leadership in the effort was provided by Dr. Gardner’s family and Drs. Hershell R. Ball, Jr. (and wife Kay), Louis L. Young, James Denton, William Merka, Ping-Lieh T. Wang, Patricia A. Curtis, Amy Gilbert and Fernando Gomez-Gonzalez.
The special surprise announcement of the Gardner Tribute Endowment was made public during the Poultry Science Club Awards Banquet, April 14, 2018 in College Station as part of the formal program in which student leaders in the club were recognized and scholarships for the fall semester of 2018 were awarded. Dr. Gardner’s former students were acknowledged as Founding Donors as were the Gardner Family children.

Hope you will be fine and doing well. I am working as a senior poultry officer with comprehensive Agriculture and Rural Development Facility (CARD-F) at Kabul, Afghanistan. I would like to pursue my Master program through your scholarship because I am unable to get my higher studies without any kind of support. Please consider me for the mentioned scholarship. I shall be very thankful to you for this act of kindness.
