These new ASF guidelines seek to assist OIE Members and stakeholders in the pig industry in the practical implementation of compartmentalisation specific to the disease in line with the related chapters of the Terrestrial Animal Health Code (4.4 & 4.5). They detail specific requirements and provide guidance on key aspects of the compartmentalisation process, including a set of applicable tools to facilitate the implementation and recognition of compartments.
This month's issue also takes a look at the Organisation's current operations, including the launch of the Global Burden of Animal Diseases Programme, a new call for tender for the rabies and PPR Vaccine Banks, an update from the Laboratory Twinning Programme, news from our Members and much more.
