Information
Dr. Nathalie Scheers is a post-doc researcher in the Food Science unit, the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering, Chalmers University of Technology in Sweden. Her research is focused on the regulation of iron absorption in intestinal cells. She achieved her doctoral degree in the mid 2011 with a thesis on intracellular effects of ascorbic acid on the expression of iron transport proteins. She has a general interest in mineral bioavailability and particularly the effects of metals in the diet on development of disease.
