Bob Caldwell completed his PhD in Physical Chemistry in 1972 at the University of Sydney. He has taught analytical agricultural chemistry and food chemistry to year 2, 3 & 4 students since 1970. He has been Associate Dean (Undergraduate Studies) and then Associate Dean (Postgraduate Studies) in, what is now called, the Faculty of Agriculture and Environment at The University of Sydney. His current research is primarily directed to the analytical chemistry of phytic acid in processed foods and the sulphur chemistry of storage proteins.
