Dr. Nathan Cowieson received his Ph.D. from the University of Edinburgh in 2001, in the field of protein biochemistry and protein x-ray crystallography. During postdoctoral research he developed interest in protein dynamics and aggregation. Nathan has expertise in biophysical methods such as small-angle x-ray scattering, protein x-ray crystallography and circular dichroism and their use in the study of biological materials. He is currently a staff scientist at the Australian Synchrotron in the Macromolecular crystallography division.
