This article is good, but some outside of the box thinking is required in today's energy situation. Adriana Pedrosa has reported some good work here. I would suggest however that the bacteria arrive in the albumen as the egg is formed in the oviduct. In fact the yolk itself may be colonized by bacteria at the time of ovulation.
