¿What is the true difference between Dehydrated Chicken and Chicken Meal?

Hi everyone, One of the latest trends in the pet food industry is using dehydrated ingredients, and then re-hydrating food prior serving it to pets. Ingredients in these products are listed in the packing simply as " chicken" or " dehydrated chicken" however the product itself is usually a powder substance ¿ what is the true difference between this product and chicken meal if both are dry chicken anyways ? ¿What am I missing here ? ¿Are manufacturers simply disguising chicken meal as "dehydrated chicken"? I have not been able to find an AAFCO definition for dehydrated chicken itself.
