The Service Technician position will be located at our Des Moines, Iowa Headquarters and will report to the Start-Up Manager. This position will perform on-site start-ups at customer locations, ensuring all Insta-Pro equipment is operating properly and customer operators are properly trained.
The right candidate should be bilingual in Spanish and English, able to effectively work in a team environment, and have strong communication and mechanical skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES
-Inspect installation of production line including electrical connections, transitions, layout, etc.
-Make mechanical adjustments as needed.
-Makes service calls to extruder plants.
-Responds to extruder owner/operator questions by phone and email.
-Advises visitors and extruder prospects on Insta-Pro equipment in conjunction with sales team.
-Prepares activity and trip reports.
-Assist in equipment assembly and R&D areas as needed.
-Assist service and sales staff internationally and domestically.
-Assist service team with customer communications with Spanish speaking customers.
REQUIREMENTS
-Must be authorized to work in the United States.
-High School Diploma or equivalent required.
-Feed or food extrusion related experience preferred but will provide training.
-Agriculture background a plus.
-Mechanical background/abilities required.
-General electrical knowledge preferred.
-Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
-Fluent in technical language, both English and Spanish.
-Willingness to travel 25-50% of the time.
-Must be willing to travel internationally.
